  • Log onto the Radio One website and have a browse! 
  • Listen to their live stream à what’s the mode of address, how does it meet the BBC remit? 

  • Now find a commercial radio station that’s streaming live (e.g. Capital radio) 
  • What’s their mode of address?  

  • How does the station itself it differ to BBC Radio One? 
  • How do their schedules differ? 

Radio One's mode of address - quite informal trying to almost chat to you like your having a conversation with the host it is on theme with the remit as if you feel more included and can relate you more engaged

Capital radio mode of address-  quite informal as well as their trying to give us information and chat at the same time you can tell they are having fun and happy

Both radio stations play pop music and the hosts are chatty and informal i feel as though capital is targeted at younger than radio one but similar ages that overlap
